Damien Tran is Senior Researcher at the CNRS. He began his career in Arcachon with his PhD thesis obtained in 2001. He continued his career in various research organizations such as IRSN (Cadarache), IFREMER (Sète) and the University of Plymouth (UK). He then obtained a permanent position in CNRS in 2008 in the team of Aquatic Ecotoxicology (UMR EPOC). Initially, he was trained in ecotoxicology and ecophysiology of aquatic systems. In particular, he has worked on the development of bivalve valvometry as biosensor of water contamination (trace metals, toxic algae). Since 2008, he is specialized in the study of biological rhythms (chronobiology) of aquatic organisms (in particular bivalves) and their disruptions by xenobiotics. In addition, He also develops within the UMR EPOC, the research area of the impact of harmful toxic algae on marine bivalves (oysters, clams, scallops ...).
